In1898, Berardino Carlesimo came to America from Casalvieri, Italy with his wife Maria and became a successful winemaker and businessman.  After World War 2 he helped his son, Vincent Carlesimo, start a wine vinegar business.  Vincent had recently returned from serving his country in the Pacific Theatre as a United States Marine.  In 1946 he formed the Rex Wine Vinegar Company.

 

Today, Rex Wine Vinegar continues with Vincent’s son and granddaughter, B. Vincent Carlesimo and Alexis Carlesimo.
